“How are you?”
“Same as always”

“Still having nightmares?”

“Quit it Vivi, I'm not seeing a shrink.”

“Nami...I'm just worried.”
“I know.”

Nami sighed and flipped a stray lock of hair over her shoulder.

“I'm fine.”
“And the husband?” asked Vivi, smirking slightly.

“Has a name.”

“He's terrific.”

“Sure he is.”

Nami shook her head. She sipped her latte, staring at the younger girl.

“We'll be fine.”
“How's the job hunt?”

“Everyone just gawks at us and goes “Oh, I saw you in the news! Aren't you the one who keeps saying it was magic or something?”. It's like we're cursed.”

Vivi tilted her head slightly.

“The house?”

“We can't pay the rent.”

“Oh Nami...”

“We're fucked.”

“I'm sure you'll find something.”
“I doubt it.”

A cellphone started ringing. Nami answered.

“Hey, honey.”

She quirked an eyebrow. Vivi threw her a questioning look.

Who?...No. We can't...Sanji...Wait, how much?!...I don't know...I don't want to go back...I know...Sanji....I know!...We'll talk later.”

She sighed.

“I love you too.”

She tucked away the cellphone and sighed again.

“Someone wants to do an interview about the whole thing.”

“They're paying us.”

“That's good.”
“We have to go back.”
“That's bad.”

“I think we'll say yes.”
“That's...I don't know what that is.”

Nami fumbled with her keys, trying to find the right one. The door opened. She gawked at the sudden light.

“Uhm, hey.”

“You really want to do this?”

Sanji shrugged.

“Come inside, it's cold.”

Nami walked inside and hung her coat on the hanger.

“We need the money.” sheepishly said Sanji.

Nami looked around.

“I like this house.”
“Me too.”

Sanji hugged her.

“What are we going to do?”
“I don't know.” she said, looking up at him “I don't want to go back.”
“Me neither.”
“Should we? To heal old scars and start again.”
“I don't think that's possible. Not after what happened.”

“Then...For the money?”
“We need it.”

“I'll protect you.”
“I know you will.”
